As part of the nine-year preparation for the 500th Anniversary of the Evangelization of the Philippines, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines has dedicated the year 2018 to the renewal and ongoing formation of the clergy and consecrated persons. As a contribution to this endeavor, Landas presents in this issue James H. Kroeger’s essay “A Dynamic Vision of Priesthood: Insights from Pope Francis.” “This modest presentation,” the author explains, “attempts to mine the rich treasures of Francis’s insights on priesthood, quoting extensively the very words spoken by the pope; it revolves around ten pivotal themes.… Thirty-five of the most relevant documents that contain ‘priesthood material’ are cited” (p. 80). – from the Editor’s Preface
