Kenneth Z. Vergara’s “Shepherding the Migrant Filipinos: Recounting Radio Veritas Asia’s Filipino Service Operation (1990-2018)” provides a glimpse into the vital ministry of social communication, which has been a key pastoral prior- ity for the FABC. Indeed, the station itself actually precedes the establishment of the FABC by only more than a year, while sharing the same objective of bringing the Gospel to the peoples of Asia. Focusing in particular on the station’s outreach to Filipino migrants that was initiated in 1990, this paper chronicles some of the achievements of the Filipino service operation that embody the missionary commitment of the people behind this important apostolate, which, albeit already discontinued, continues to provide a helpful model for us today. – from the Editor’s Preface
