Sr. Antonetta Pereira, FMM’s “The FABC Vision of Youth as Evangelizers in Asia, Particularly in the Archdiocese of Goa, India” comes from her own experience of doing youth apostolate in Goa and explores avenues to engage the youth in the new evangelization as a particular way of actualizing FABC’s vision of “a new way of being Church.” Here she focuses on three important themes prominent in the FABC documents: communio Ecclesiology, evangelization; and participation. Interestingly, these very themes more or less coincide with the so-called “pillars” of a Synodal Church highlighted by the ongoing Synod on Synodality: commun- ion, participation and mission. By exploring the implications of these themes on youth ministry, she charts a path that is at once aligned not only with the FABC vision but also with the vision of a synodal Church. – from the Editor’s Preface
