This issue “Breaking the walls between Church and State” explored different aspects of the relationship between the Church and the civil governance highlighting an urgent need to pattern governance in values of protection of human life and dignity, liberty, and justice for all. Political life in the Philippines was the ground for theologizing and advocacy, echoing a collective voice for responsible, responsive, and humane leadership. The issue also discussed other important social concerns, such as suicide and justice, from a perspective of moral theology.
